UK-HyRES were proud to sponsor and participate in the inaugural Cryogenic Hydrogen Research Conference hosted by Aerospace Technology Institute.

The conference brought together leading researchers, policymakers, and industry professionals to discuss the future of hydrogen technologies and the role of cryogenics in the clean energy transition.

An excellent opening address from Julia Sutcliffe, Chief Scientific Advisor for the Department for Business and Trade, reminded the room of the skills needed to realise the opportunities of cryogenic hydrogen and underscoring that the future of aviation is exciting and a key growth industry for the UK’s decarbonisation strategy.

As part of the event, UK-HyRES Director Professor Tim Mays had the honour of chairing a session on Hydrogen Health and Safety, contributing to vital discussions on how to ensure safe and sustainable hydrogen infrastructure.

We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with experts across the field and support such an impactful initiative that aligns with our mission of accelerating the UK’s progress toward a sustainable, Net Zero future.
