Hub PhD student Christian Goodall spent the last two weeks at the #CCP5 Molecular Simulation Summer School, hosted at Newcastle University. Christian’s work focuses on applying advanced molecular modelling techniques to study gas adsorption and transport in porous materials, key to enabling next-generation hydrogen storage solutions.

The summer school provided hands-on experience with a range of simulation methods, from Monte Carlo and molecular dynamics to force field development, equipping Christian with valuable tools to support his doctoral research.

Christian’s PhD is a UK-HyRES leveraged University of Bath Studentship, and is supervised by Dr Carmelo Herdes, Prof Tina Düren, Prof John Chew, and Dr Matthew Lennox.
