About the Survey
This survey aims to better understand the barriers faced by researchers at early career stages, identify areas where change is needed, and capture ideas for creating a more supportive and inclusive research environment. Findings will be shared through the UK-HyRES ECR Network and may inform reports, events, and engagement with research funders and other stakeholders to help shape future policy and improve the research ecosystem.

Our ECR Network is inviting PhD students to share their experiences so we can better understand what support is needed and where meaningful change could make the biggest difference.

Share Your Perspective
The UK-HyRES National ECR Survey is anonymous and should take approximately 10–15 minutes to complete. Responses will be analysed and reported in aggregate. Any demographic information provided will be handled carefully, particularly where small numbers could risk identifying individuals.
