Project PT2.1: Solid-state hydrogen storage materials for aerospace applications
This five-year core research project which started on 1 June 2023 at the University of Bath involves the discovery, identification / selection, design, modelling and characterisation of novel nanoporous materials and composites as hydrogen storage media in future aircraft. The project lead is Prof Tim Mays, and the lead researcher is Dr Raj Jagpal, both in the Department of Chemical Engineering. PT2.1 is supported by GKN Aerospace, Global Technology Centre, Bristol with close collaboration at IAAPS, also in Bristol.
